In the fall and spríng of 1962 a preliminary survey was made to determine the dispersion area of Meloidogyne sp. Göldi, in alfalfa and red clover. This parasite was found from the province of Coquimbo to the province of Osorno. The attack on alfalfa was strongest in the provínces of Santiago and Coquimbo. Infestation in red clover was greater in the provinces of Santiago. Ruble and Cautín.
