The results of a trial with 14 varieties of subterranean claver performed in dry land, coastal zone of the Province of Valparaíso (Concón) during the period 1960-61 are presented. The varieties Bacchus Marsh, Marrar, ,Wogenelup and Yarloop were the most productive. Of this group, the most promising one for the future appears to be Marrar, whose earliness increases the likelihood of reseeding in dry years.
