ABSTRACT
CHLOROPHYLL ANALYSIS AS AN INDIRECT INDEX OF IRON CHLOROSIS IN NECTARINES

Chlorophyll extraction analysis was evaluated as an indicator of lime-induced-chlorosis symptoms in peach leaves in comparison with total iron content analysis. The A.O.A.C. methodology was employed.
Chlorophyll analysis (specifically Chyll ¨») showed a good correlation with iron deficiency symptoms but total iron content did not show a good correlation with them.
