| The effect of time of collection and position of the cutting on the cane of cvs. Semillón, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pais was studied. It was determined that independently of the position of the cuttings, the rooting capacity for the three cultivars decreased with the advance of the season. In the cvs. Semillón and Cabernet Sauvignon the cuttings from the medium and apical sectors showed a lesser rooting capacity than those obtained from the basal section, whereas no influence was observed in the cv. País. Semillón presented the highest rooting proportion of the three cultivars independently of the position on the cane or time of collection. |
