Tha multipliers used in the dry weight rank method for botanical composition estimations, were calculated and evaluated for a Phalaris aquatica (hardinggrass) and Trifolium subterraneum (subclover) pasture, in the subhumid Mediterranean dryland of Chile. The multipliers calculated defer in 6.7 points for rank 1, 7.8 points far rank 2 and 1.1 points far rank 3. The discrepancies between rank groups did not produce important changes in botanical composition, verifying that the bibliographical multipliers produce a subestimation of 6.0% for Trifolium subterraneum and an overestimation of 3.0% for Phalaris aquatica.
