Ciko-IN lA is a semidwarf wheat cultivar (Triticum aestivum L.) released by the Wheat Sreeding Programme at the Quilamapu Research Station (INIA, Chillán). Ciko-INIA is an early spring cultivar obtained from CIMMYT germplasm. The grain yield is good but lower than the yield of cultivar Nobo-INIA. The hectoliter weight is very good (82-86 kg/hl), the grain protein is higher than 10%, and the bread volume is around 700 ce. It is recomended specially for late seeding dates, in the irrigated valley of the south-central area of Chile.
