Chemical control of walnut blight

The results of two trials carried on English walnut (Juglans regia L.) at Rincón del Abra (Requinoal, VI Region of Chile, testing different chemical products for the control of walnut blight (Xanthomonas campestris pv. juglandis (Pierce) Dowson) are reported.
The following treatments provided a significant control of the disease compared with the untreated check:
- Nine sprays with 200,300 or 400 mi of Kasumin 2% plus 100 g of Copper Oxichloride 50% WP.
- Nine sprays with 400 g of Copper Oxichloride 50% WP.
- Nine or eleven sprays with 300 g of Copper Hydroxide 81% WP. Two sprays with 300 g of Copper Hydroxide followed by nine sprays with 300 or 400 ml of Kasumin plus 100 g of Copper Oxichloride 50% WP.
- Eleven sprays with 300 or 400 ml of Kasumin plus 100 g of Copper Oxichloride 50% WP.
