The averages for yield, test weight, attack of Puccinia striiformis, P. recondita, P. graminis, and Gaeumannomyces graminis, in all the yield experiments conducted at La Platina, the years 1982, 1983, and 1984, are reported. Great differences in yield between 1984 (80.43 quintals/hectare),and 1982 (52.76) and 1983 (57.76), were observed. In 1982 the main factor in the reduetion of the yields was the delay in the date of sowing (August 8). According to the sowing date experiment of that same year, this caused a decrease of 25%, as compared to sowing in June. A second factor in the drop of yields, were the rusts, responsible for a fall of 3.5 qq/ha. In 1983, the main cause in the reduction of yields was Gauemannomyces graminis, that diminished them in around 20%. In 1984, the sowing date was adequate and there were not negative factors. The hectoliter weight was excellent (82.89). It was estimated that aphids and BYOV had a small economic importance in the three years considered.
