The sum of temperatures above 10º, for six phenological stages of 24 grape varieties, were determined at La Platina Experimental Station. The date when 50% of each stage was Gompleted was recorded and the sum of temperatures above 10ºC, for each interval, was computed. Early maturing table varieties (Perlette, Flame Seedless and Thompson Seedless) required 900 to 1,100 degree-days to reach maturity. Late maturing varieties (Red and Black Seedless and Emperor) requilred 1,450 to 1,600 degree- days. Early maturing wine varieties (Pinot Noir, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Chardonnay and Gewürztraiminer) required 1,100 to 1,200 degree-days. Late maturing varieties (Cabernet-Sauvignon, Ruby Cabernet and Semillon) required 1,500 to 1,600 degree-days.
