Lucero-INIA isa wheat cultivar having and alternative growth habit, released in 1979 by the Quilamapu Research Station (lNlA). Lucero-lNlA’s main agronomic characteristics are: 84-103cm plant height; semiresistant tolodging; bearded spike, light brown in color; and midlong to long and brown kernels. This cultivar shows moderate resistance to moderate susceptibility to stripe and leaf rusts (Puccinia striiformis and P. recondita). It has good grain yielding potential, having similar baking and milling characteristics to soft wheats.
