Field data on 841 Suffolk-down lambs were used to determine the effects of age of the mother ewe, sex and type of parturition (single vs. multiple) on age-corrected weight, at 90 days of age. Least Squares Analysis showed that ah the aboye effects and the interaction age of ewe x type of par turition were significant (P < 0.05). Additive and multiphicative adjustment factors were computed across years, and were expressed both as a deviation from or a ratio of the mean of single lambs, males and born from 4 years oId ewes. |
