This effect was studied in a clay soil, from a marine terrace of the central coastal zone of Chile (V and VI Region). Pots were maintained under two hydric conditions: field capacity and saturation. Under saturation, the best germination was obtained in a soil mixed with activated carbon (1 g A.C./ 0.5 It soil) and irrigated with hydrogen peroxide. Carbon alone improved also germination in a soil under normal hydric conditions and in a soil subjected to compression and dispersion. |
