CHEMICAL CONTROL OF NAMATODES IN TOMATO (LYCOPERSICON ESCULENTUM M.)

The present investigation was carried out in the province of Quillota, V Región, Chile.
The principal objetives were to evaluate the effect of some nemacides in the control of parasitic nematodes and the yield of tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum M.).
The tratments were: DD, 495 1/ha a. I.; DBCP, 26.25 1/HA A. I.; Agricur 10% G, 20 Kg/ha A. I.; Nemacur 10% G, 20 Kg/ha A. I.; Basamid, 425 Kg/ha A. I.; VPM, 98.1 1/ha A. I., and control without treatment.
The experimental desing consisted of a complete randomized block desing, with 4 repetitions. The data for nematode control, degree of rootknot nematode (Meloidogyne spp) infection and yied, was significant at 0.05.
