ABSTRACT
USE OF AN AGROPHYSICAL MODEL TO ESTIMATE WHEAT PRODUCTIVITY (Triticum aestivum L.) WITH AND WITHOUT IRRIGATION

Eduardo Salgado V.1, Jorge García-Huidobro P. de A.2 y Aldo Norero Sc.3

Wheat productivity under two water regimes was evaluated using an agrophysical mode1 proposed by Norero. This model evaluates the interaction between the plant canopy and its environment.
The water regimes used were irrigation made at a tension of 75 cb measured 40 cm depth, and without irrigation.
The experimental results showed a good adjustment in both treatments. Field production was predicted with less than a 10% error. The same situation was found for the dry matter production along the growth periodo
