Seasonal trends of seveal nutrient elements in leaves of Prosopis tamarugo Phil., growing under natural conditions in the Pampa del Tamarugal, Northern Chile.
Growing season changes and concentrations of N, P, K, S, Ca, Mg, Zn, Cu, Mn, Fe, Cl, Na and B were in general similar to those reported for other perennial species in spite of the high concentrations of ions in the soil. This suggests a high absorption selectivity by this tree.
