WEED CONTROL IN DIRECT SOWING OF LETTUGE (Lactuca sativa L.)
|Adriana Ramírez de Vallejo1|
An experiment was conducted at La Platina Experiment Station during 1975-76 to study the effect of different herbicides in lettuce, seeded directly.
Higher yields of commercial lettuce were obtained with premergence application of Pronamide (Kerb 75) 2.25 Kg IA/ha with 98% weed control. Benfluralin 0.833 Kg IA/ha presowing incorparated and Bentiocarb 5.0 Kg IA/ha premergence application controled 60% of the weeds. Clorprofam grave 95% weed control in premergence application, but damaged the crop.
