A nutritional survey was performed in 72 nonirrigated vineyards of Cauquenes, Maule, Chile. Yield, vines/ha, buds/ha, vigour, organic matter and pH of the soil, and N-NO3, P, K, Ca, Mg and b concentration in petioles, opposite to a cluster at full bloom, were determined.
Concentration of P, Ca and Mg were adequate in the area, but those of N, K and B were below critical levels in most of the sampled vineyards.
Samples collected on, dec. 1972 after a rainy season showed higher concentrations of k than the previous season.
