The pedogenesis of two soils in a toposequence was discussed, Lo Vásquez and Las Rosas soil Series.
This first paper deals with the field and the micromorphological description.
It is concluded that both soils show a different mineralogical composition as well as a different degree of evolution.
Thus, the soil in the upper part of the toposequence (Lo Vásquez soil Series) shows important quantities of pedoloigical features, mainly illuviation argillans, while the soil in the lower part of the toposequence (Las Rosas soil Series) presents but incipient pedological features.
