An experiment was carried out at Quilamapu Experimental Station in Chillan, Chile, to evaluate beef production from the following four subterranean clover dryland pastures: 1) Mount barker subterranean clover and Hardinggrass, 2) Clare subterranean clover and Hardinggrass, 3) Clare subterranean clover and Wimmera ryegrass, and 4) Clare subterranean clover alone.
Pasture evaluation was starded the year after establishment and continued for four consecutive years. Continuous grazing with Holstein steers with variable stocking rates (put and take) was practiced.
