Fifteen French Merino lambs were divided in three experimental groups for sacrifice at 25, 30 and 35 Kg. of live weight. For each group the dressing percentage and carcass composition was determinated.
The results for each group were respectively; Dressing percentage: 47,64% - 44,44% and 47,36%. Proportion of Muscle Tissue 66,4% - 67,4% and 67,7%. Proportion of fat Tissue 10,8% - 12,8% and 13,3%. Proportion of Bone tissue 21,4% - 17,8% and 18,2%. There weren´t significant diferences (P<0,05) between groups in any of the studied characteristics.
