The nutritive deficiencies from 102 soil samples of the province Cautin are determined in pot trials with Lolium perenne x Lolium multiflorum. Eighty-two superfidal samples are included. The remainder proceed from greater depths reached by the roots.
A graphic distribution is showing the places they proceed from. The estimate of equation of fertility for each soil demonstrates the existence of serious deficiencies of phosphorus and potassium and with a minor intensity of sulphur.
In some soils; complex problems of fertility are determined due to the limitation imposed thtough the simultaneous scarcity of macro- and micronutrients.
The reserves of phosphorus, potassium and magnesium diminish as they penetrate the soil profil and the reverse occurs with sulphur.
