To compare the effectiveness of some herbicides and herbicides mixtures on corn yield, a trial was conducted at La Platina Experimental Station of the Agricultural Research Institute during the 1967-1968 season.
The best results as regards yield and weed control in comparison with the check hand hoe system were obtained by: Linuron, reemergence application of 2 kg AI/ha, Atrazine, early postmergence application of 1,5 kg AI/ha + 10 t oil. At the same growing stage, Atrazine + CP50144, 1 + 1,92 kg AI/ha; Metobromuron, preemergence application of 2kg AI/ha; Atrazine + Prometryne, 1,7 + 1,7 kg AI/ha; Metobramuron + Prometryne, 2 + 1 kg AI/ha; both mixtures applied during preemergence period. At the same growing stage, Linuron and Metobromuron, 3 kg AI/ha for both products, during early postemergence, Atrazine + Propachlor, 1 + 1,95 kg AI/ha and Atrazine, 2 kg AI/ha, with addition of 10 lt oil per hectare for both treatments. |
