Results on field trials with various fungicides used for "Stinking smut" control, accomplished in two localities and through 6 years, are given. Effect of treatment is expressed in percentages of diseased culms, and yield is given in qqm/Ha. All treatments have been better than the control, but a near complete control of the disease was obtained with the following two fungicides: Copper Sulfate, and Granosan. The regression calculations indicates that every increase on infection percentage, gives a reduction of yield of 0.134 and 0.119 metric quintals per hectare at the two localities where the trials were carried on. |
