.- Results arc presented after 5 years of testing different wheat varieties at Ovalle and Los Andes Experiment Stations, and after 4 years at Paine Expt. Station.
.- More than 100' varieties were compared and data are given on thejr yields and resistance to the Puccinia glumarum, P. triticina and P. graminis.
.- Correlation coeficients were calculated between resistance to P. graminis and yield of eaeh variety on each locality. These correlations showed that resistance to P. graminis is the most important factor affecting the yield.
.- Correlations between the results at Ovalle, Los Andes and Paine Expt. Station show similar growing conditions existing on these three localities, even if rust occurs in different intensity.
.- The most appropiate varieties for each locality are recommended.
