During a recent visit to the Gray Herbarium at Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., it was possible to study critical material of the Chilean Flora. The paper presented describes, with illustrations, five new species from Chile: Adesmia reclinata, Berberis coquimbensis, Puccinellia Johnstonii, Festuca Banazii and Bromus Burkartii, the first four mentioned are trom the province of Coquimbo and the latter from southern Chile.
