Small field tests carried on in Chile using DDT for control of the codling moth (Carpocapsa pomonella, L.) show the possibilities of this insecticide as a substitute for lead arsenate.
It seems that DDT máy also control several species of leafhoppers which attack apples.
No injury to the trees sprayed with DDT was noted.
