ABSTRACT

LJUBO GOIC M.1

Five levels of phosphorus (0-50-100-150-200 units of P2O5 /ha.) and three levels of nitrogen (0-48-96 units) , were studied in the establishment of a grass-legume mixture, in five soil series in the Osorno and Llanquihue area.
For the establishment of pastures in good conditions, the use of a minimum level of 100 units of P2O5 /ha. is recommended for the trumao soils of Osorno, Corte Alto and Puyehue.
For the Fresia and Ñadi Frutillar soils, 150 units of P2O5/ha. should be used. It is recommended to use low levels of nitrogen for the establishment of grass pastures, even though no substantial increases in yield have been recorded by using this element.
