Effect of planting dates on seed yield and agronomic characters of three varieties of saybeans was studied at Santiago under irrigation conditions, during 1964-65 and 1965-66.
Planting dates had significant effect in seed yields. Earlier variety Traverse gave lowest yield with the earliest and latest plantings. The average seed yield for the early variety Chippewa was highest when seeded in October and November and decreased rapidly with later planting. Clark, a late variety, was more affected by late planting and the yields decreased after October 15 planting.
