An appraisal of the availability of P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B, Mn, Cu, Zn and Mo was made in ten soil series of Ñuble, using the technique proposed by Chaminade (3) which uses a ryegrass pot culture. A treatment with no N was also included soil samples from the 0-20 cm. surface layer were tested in the experiments, one for each soil series.
Results were fairly similar among the different soils, and showed P as being the most deficient nutrient besides N, followed in importance by S and finally K. Other elements studied did not show deficiencies.
