Llareta INIA is a spring durum wheat cultivar selected in F2 segregating material introduced from CIMMYT Mexico in 1986. From 1989 to 1991 was included in advanced yield trials at the Regional Research Center La Platina and from 1992 to 1995 in Regional yield tests. It is a high yielding semidwarf cultivar, resistant to lodging. It presents adequate resistance to Puccinia striiformis and P. recondita. Good test weight, with good pasta quality and strong gluten of golden yellow color.
