Chrysanthemum plants highly infested with the Chrysanthemum gall midge Rhopalomyia chrysanthemi, werefound in Limarí,lV Región ofChile (30º03'lat. S, 71º01' long. W, alt. 220 m.s.n.m.). Sorne antecedents on the morfology, world distribution and damage are given here.
