Brisca-INIA is the first afila pea (Pisum sativum) cultivar released in Chile. It is a combining pea cultivar recommended for the southern regions, with potential to yield up to 7000 kg/ha. The cotyledons are green and the seed is smooth, round, and small (0.22 - 0.24 g per seed), a trait that allows to significantly reduce the sowing rate while maintaining the recommended plant density. It is suited for both human consumption and animal feeding.
