Postharvest treatments of diazinon, methidathion and profenofos against the fruit tree mealybug, Pseudococcus affinis , were evaluated on table grapes and plums. These treatments reduced notably pest population levels but results were not significantly difterent among them. However, two to four months later, survivors were observed, utilizing corrugated cardboards as trunk bands. Under laboratory conditions, sprays from a Potter tower did not produced significant difterences among treatments. Under these conditions nymphal mortality was greater than on mature females.
