Lupin and barley in the summer feeding of hoggests

Twenty seven Hidango ewe lambs were asigned to three groups in phalaris senescent pastures. Group 1 received lupin grain plus barley, group 2 barley alone in isocaloric terms. In relation to the former group and group 3, did not receive any concentrate. Groups 1 and 2, lost body weight and body condition during the first 12 days. During Iiveweight gaining period, groups 1,2 and 3, gained 7.33, 3.06 and 3.75 kg, respectively and 1.11,0.13 and 0.11 grades in body condition. Atthe end of the trial, group 1 was different to the other groups in body weight and condition (P<0.05).
