During two growing seasons (1988/89 and 1989/90). the elIect of N·P Ienilization on growth, production and fruit qualty of red rapsberry ev. Heritage was evaluared. It was plantad in a "Diguillin" soil (Typic distrandept), for establishing optimun fenHizer rates . A complete randomized block design with three replications in a factorial arrangement of 4 N rates (0, 60, 120 and 240 kg of N/ha) and 3 P rates (0, 43 and 86 kg of P/ha) was used. The analysis ofone complete physiological harvest (primocane and cane production) determined that the application of N in rates until240 kg/ha increlisad vegetative growth, primocane and cane production and !he whole production. It was observad no affect of P application either N-P interaetion. According to results obtained, N rates of 240 kg/ha, or higher, would beadequate forthe obtention of good growth and high yields in red raspberries.
