During three years, from 1976 to 1978, 50 ewes lambs with a low parasite burden were divided in two groups. One was drenched every 15 days and the other remained as a control group without drenching. Fecal examination for eggs counting was performed every 15 days, each time liveweight was recorded. Wool production was registred at shearing. The pallern of eggs output, based on average countings, are described and compared. Body weight was different (P < 0,05) in 1977 from May to November, in 1978 differen were only observed in November and December (P < 0.05) Wool production was only different (P < 0,05) in 1978. It is postulated that subclinical parasitism must be carefully considered in animal-pasture trials, otherwise there is a risk of misinterpretation of results.
