This paper presents the yield, hectoliter weight and incidence of Puccinia recondita, P. graminis, BYDV and aphids in all wheat trials carried out in the growing seasons 1989 and 1990 at La Platina Experiment Station (INIA, Santiago). The average sowing dates were Juiy 5 in 1989 and June 27 in 1990. In 1989 the rainfall (322 mm) was similar to an average year while in 1990 it was 40% below average. No disease attack of importance was observad. The average yield for the bread wheats was of 77.4 qqm/ha in 1989 and 93.0 qqm/ha in 1990. For the durum wheats the yield was 73.1 qqm/ha in 1989 and 90.2 in 1990. The 1990 yield was the highest registe red at La Platina. The hectoliter weight for the bread wheats was 84.4 kg/hl in 1989 and 84.3 kg/hl in 1990. For durum wheats it was 84.3 kg/hl in 1989 and 83.3 kg/hl in 1990.
