This work was carried out at Quilamapu Experimental Station (INIA), to obtain information about animal feed parameters of triticale (X. Triticosecale Wittmack) and wheat grain (Triticum aestivum L.) Results indicated that protein and energy levels are similar in both cereals. In cereals sown in autumn average values of crude protein and metabolizable energy were 11.4% and 3.23 Mcal/kg. while in spring cereals these figures were 12,2 and 3,25 Mcal/kg.

Keywords: wheat, Tríticum aestivum L., triticale, X. Triticosecale W., protein, energy.
