Saeta-INIA is a semidwarf bread wheat cultivar (Triticum aestivum L.) released by the Wheat Breeding Programme at the Ouilamapu Research Station (INIA, Chillán). Saeta-INIA is a spring cultivar obtained from CIMMYT germplasm. The grain yield is high and very similar to the yield of cultivar Nobo-INIA. Test weight is very good, 84 kgjhl; grain protein is around 100A., and bread volume between 600 and 650 cc. It is recomended specially for spring sowing, in the irrigated valley of the south central area of Chile.
