Ocurrence of barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) isolates in Chile

Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus (VEAC) was detected in samples examined of wheat, barley and oats from the main regions of cereal production in Chile. PAV relatad isolate was prevalent in all sites. The isolate RPV is the first mention to the country. The implications for epidemiology are discussed.
