The Impact Factor is calculated by dividing the number of citations in the JCR 2019 by the total number of articles published in the two previous years (2017-2018).

It is caclulated by dividing the number of citations in the JCR 2019 by the total number of articles published in the five previous years (2014-2018)

CiteScore 2019 counts the citations received in 2016-2019 to articles, reviews, conference papers, book chapters and data papers published in 2016-2019, and divides this by the number of publications published in 2016-2019.
